our burden

Our burden
This is the burden of our daily lives in a world for the carnal.
The quotidian load we put up with, trying to explain everything,
As if, to a tribe of the blind and deaf, whose learning differs from ours,
As they ask the same questions everyday and we explain over again
To every one of them as they come. Hey! A dialogue of frustrating repetition,
Requiring much gesticulation and shouting, while keeping courtesy,
So we, ourselves, will not be seen as crushing the very values we preach,
Though it tells on our tolerance, yet, they still can’t get it!
They can’t understand us because we are different from them.
We don’t fancy the things they worship, we’re of a different sphere,
And our identity leans beyond the skies at the coming of Glory,
When all things become perfect, even this world of imperfection.
These posh wares they crave for are but grotesque at the probe of light,
When all things become beautiful in real sense,
But they still don’t get it! They can’t understand us.
They ask why we are different,
And we try to explain over again to each one of them as they come!
