did she say no?
brazen doubts slipped off courageous faith...
she couldn't say so.
who could defy his fast faith,
berted at her past smiles?
...nice signs of fast tides,
washing in good not prayed for,
coupled with what was ashore!

did she say no?
they heard her say so,
loud and clear, like blocks of ice,
clean ice a thirsty can't drink.
her face had ceased from being nice.
a believer's faith may just sink.
how could she say so?
and life's got barbs you harldly know.

we thought we heard so.
but ice do melt into water,
though the new weight's not up to a quarter...
what they say cannot break
has scattered like pieces of cake.
just when you think life says "no",
you find out she doesn't mean so!
